Ernest Lafrenz, R. 1953). Seedling# 4-55. TB, 37" (94 cm), Early midseason bloom. Color Class-W2, Fancy plicata, white ground heavily stippled red-violet. Mitchell seedling X Salbach seedling. Acalanes Gardens (Earnest Lafrenz) 1954.
'Woodmont Plume' was introduced by Acalanes Gardens along with Sydney Mitchell's other last and finest seedlings. These included 'So Sweet', 'Color Harmony', 'Coronation Finery', 'Evening Storm', and 'Dark Magic'.
