'Wingatui' (David Nicoll, R. 2013) Seedling# D08T20-5. TB, 38 (97 cm), Early to midseason bloom. Standards and style arms light purple (RHS 75A); falls light purple at edges fading to white center, hafts speckled purple; beards red in throat and middle, white at end, hairs based white, tips red; pronounced musky (strong lemon) fragrance. 'Tectonic' X unknown. Introduced 2013/14 by Richmond.

From Richmond Iris Garden catalog, 2013: WINGATUI: (TB) (D. Nicoll 2013) E/M Large light purple blooms with speckling on the hafts. Falls have a white centre. The red beards have white tips. A strong flower and a strong plant. An unusual name with an unusual background. $30.00.
