From AIS Bulletin #137, April 1955. Introducing WHITE WAVES 1955. (New Snow x Winter Carnival). A pure white with the heaviest substance to be found in any iris. Falls are very flaring and ruffled. Most prolific grower. Height 36". $5.00. John Pierce.
From M. Oliver Flower Farm catalog, 1958: WHITE WAVES (Pierce '55) M. 36" Pure white of extremely heavy substance. Form is very flaring and attractively ruffled. $2.00.
