From Bay View Gardens catalog,1969: WHISPERING GLADE 38 inches, EML. Green Pastures sent us into ecstasies, and launched us in quest of the true green iris. WHISPERING GLADE is not the true green (which is still eluding us and we often feel as if we are fighting Windmills), but what a miraculous color it is! It is a lush, quiet, yet forceful, shade of antique green-gold. The form is flawless and the flower is large in keeping with its height. Add a serrated edge, stippled ruffling, self beard, heavy substance, show-bench branching and you have a very desirable item. With two to four buds in each socket, you are insured of a long season of bloom. Its vigor guarantees an instant clump! No.65-176V: (Moon River X (Pretty Quadroon x Frosted Starlight)). $25.00
