| VENERATION (Ghio), to be introduced next year, has pale blue standards and bright red-violet falls-fine ruffled form and long-lasting flowers. Watch for this beauty. (Jendel, 1970) |
| From 1971 Bay View catalog: VENERATION. 36" early to late. A deep neglecta with accent on form which is the finest in its class. Light blue-violet standards and broad falls of smooth deep royal purple. The falls are deeply fluted and the standards are as heavily ruffled. Super-branching with great bud count. A mystical beauty with the charisma of an oriental potentate. The probable parentage is (Stepping Out X Diplomacy), and we have seedlings to bloom this spring to prove the cross. |
