'Utah Sky' (Tell Muhlestein, R. 1954) Seedling# 51-96. TB, 36" (91 cm), Early midseason bloom. Cornflower-blue self. 'Sky Song' x 'Gracious Lady'. Tell 1955. High Commendation 1953.

From Tell’s Iris Garden catalog, 1955: UTAH SKY (Muhlestein). E.-M. (Sky Song x Gracious Lady.) Cornflower blue that is one of the bluest blues I have seen. The very wide falls have a bit of ruffling at the hafts that give it distinction. Won the Blue class at the Utah Iris Society 1953 show. H.C. '54. No. 51-96. $15.00
| From Fleur de Lis Gardens catalog 1956: UTAH SKY (Muhl. 1955) E. M. 36 in. (Sky Song x Gracious Lady). A cornflower blue self that is as true a blue as anything we have so far seen. Very large flowers with broad oval petals. Much admired in our garden the past two years. H. C. 1954. 12.50. |
