From Mid-America Garden catalog, 1989: TROPICAL FRUIT - TB, 36" (91cm), Late. And luscious this fruit is. A large clump of this variety brought conventioneers off the buses with oohs and aahs. It, like its sister Silken Aire is a performer deluxe! Standards are old rose shading to buff edges. Falls are smoothly blended pale butter around beards to old rose edges. Bright orange beards serve to attract the pollinators to this Tropical Fruit. Show stalks are provided by vigorous, disease free plants.
