'Town Talk' (E. Greig Lapham, R. 1952). Seedling# B-7. TB, 40" (102 cm), Midseason bloom. Red self, flame or "tomato" red, heavy orange-yellow beard. 'Drum Major' X Cook's red seedling# 745 from five generations. Longfield 1954.

From AIS Bulletin #132, January 1954. Introducing TOWN TALK (Sdlg. B-7)-A different approach to red. Tall, really large, very good shape and substance. Has bred some startling seedlings. Seeds well; no pollen. Stock limited so preference given to breeders of reds. Price-$25.00. Longfield.
