| From Carl Salbach catalog 1936: Tokay. A slender but charming little iris. Pale flesh pink and yellow, blended. If Tokay were larger and had better substance·, it would sell for ten or twenty times the price. Stock limited. Mid-season. 24-inch. 75c. |
| From Maple Valley Iris Gardens catalog, 1937: TOKAY (Nich. 1931) M. 34 in. A very lovely blend of soft coppery pink with a golden heart. Of medium size and height it is so free blooming that a few plants make a mass of color like that of ripe tokay grapes. Most effective for cutting. 25c. |
