From Irisknoll Catalog, 1942: Tiffanja—Midseason. Height 42 inches, well branched. A distinctly different yellow plicata, having wide, closed standards and rounded spreading falls. Smooth and clean cut in appearance. Standards a shade between Colonial Buff and Olive Ochre (Ridgway). Styles same. Beard brownish orange. Falls white, bordered about ⅜-inch deep with color of the standards. Brushed at the haft and speckled around the border with light Buckhorn brown. Flowers have excellent substance, and measure 5½ x 6 inches. Not only a novelty, but also an attractive flower. An entirely unlooked-for result from a cross of Naranja X Tiffany. Each $20.00 Net |
