'Thor's Lightning Bolt' (
Walt Dean, R. 1996) TB, 30-32" (76-81 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards purple; style arms white, purple tip and midrib; falls purple; beards orange, forked at tip and confined to throat area, continuing as white membranous fall attachment, spear-shaped and extending 2/3 length of falls, ending in small purple horn at spear tip; slight musky fragrance.
