From AIS Bulletin #220 January 1976 Introducing THELMA RUDOLPH 1976 No. 72-06: Fringed Taffeta X Pink Angel. Midseason TB 29". A delightful overall shade of lilac-pink, a color not found in any of the color charts. Blooms are of exquisite form. Beautifully formed, upright standards of light lilac-pink. Falls pale pink at center, blending deeper at the edges and shoulders. Very ruffled and fluted. Wide and round with a lilac tipped pink beard. Three branches and terminal with six buds. Branches are a little close, but the beautiful color and form overshadow this. I consider this the most beautiful iris that we have produced to date. Plant habits are excellent and fertile both ways. Popular demand forces us to introduce a year sooner than anticipated, consequently stock will be limited. HC '74, '75. Rudolph. |
