'The King Is Coming' (David Headrick, R. 2014). Seedling# 12-A-5. TB, 36"-38" (91-96 cm). Early to midseason bloom. Standards and style arms deep violet (RHS 86B); falls deeper violet-black (86A), violet (84C) ground near throat with deeper violet-black stripes; beards grey-orange (164B), deeper violet-black in middle and end; purple based foliage; pronounced sweet fragrance. 'Dusky Challenger' X 'Romantic Evening'. His Iris Garden 2014.
