2011, Spoon

'Tall John' (Donald Spoon, R. 2011). Seedling# 2002-125BJ. TB, 38 (97 cm). Late midseason bloom. Standards creamy white, orchid pink centers darkening at midribs, light old gold at base; style arms lavender centers with light creamy white midline, light yellow-orange (RHS 20C) edges; falls lavender (N181A) centers graduating to lighter (N181D) borders, light lavender spike at end of beards; beards white, hairs tipped dark orange-red (34A), slight sweet fragrance; standards closed, falls arched; ruffled and laced; 7-9 buds.
