1982, Jones

'Sunlit Waves' (William E. Jones, R. 1979). Seedling# 75-145L. TB, 29" (74 cm), Late midseason bloom. Heavily ruffled very pale lavender self with irregular yellow highlights on all edges, silver glitter on standards edges, darker lavender line down center of falls; yellow beard; pale yellow stylearms and crests. 'Pink Sleigh' X 'Sea Venture'. Contemporary Gardens 1982.

From AIS Bulletin #245 April 1982 Introducing SUNLIT WAVES (W. Jones '82). TB, 33" (84 cm), M. A beautiful sib to Stormy Seas, but with a different color pattern. HeaVily ruffled pale lavender highlighted in yellow at edges and hafts. Stylecrests and beards are yellow. Lots of glitter on the edges, especially in the standards. Darker lavender line down the center of the falls. Thanks to Ron Mullin for suggesting the name. Sdlg. 75-145L: (Pink Sleigh X Sea Venture). $25.00. Contemporary Gardens.
