Walter Moores, R. 1990). Seedling# 82-23-B. TB, 36" (91 cm). Early midseason bloom and re-bloom (June and November in Mississippi and Texas). Standards pale lavender; falls darker lavender violet; beards pale yellow, tipped white; lightly ruffled.

From AIS Bulletin #281 April 1991 Introducing SUMMER SURF-TB, 36" EM & RE. A pale lavender and darker lavender violet bitone with pale yellow beards that can be in bloom off and on from summer to frost, its slightly ruffled flowers of thickest substance are borne on tall, widely branched stalks.
