From AIS Bulletin #133, April 1954. Introducing STARLIFT ('54) #52-2 (Tosca x Distance). This enameled-textured deep cornflower blue is truly a stunner-probably one of the smoothest Iris in this register. Large, rounded and full, the flower is heavily ruffled and waved and is self colored even to the full, very broad hafts which are solidly shaded with blue. Mid-season. 40". Net $15.00. Cliff Benson. |
