From Carl Salbach catalog 1943: STARDOM (Hall 1941). According to Ridgeway, the color would be onionskin pink. We would describe the color as a lively brown with gold suffusion. Large blooms held on tall stems that are branched a little high. Fair substance. Midseason. $3.50. |
A blend of pink, salmon, and apricot, this iris has good garden value. It is a good grower that increases rapidly. Douglas, Geddes (1942). More Variety Comments, 1942. American Iris Society Bulletin, 88 (January 1943), 63. |

From Fairmount Gardens catalog, 1945: STARDOM (D. Hall 1941) M. The lovely color is hard to describe. It may be visualized as a blended self of coppery pink and apricot buff with just enough yellow to bring out the life and beauty of the flowers. Good substance. H. M., A. I. S. 1940. A. M., A. I.
