'Spun Candy' (
Donald Spoon, R. 2006). Seedling# 98-208B-A. TB, 35" (89 cm), Midseason to late bloom. Standards light baby ribbon pink, lavender base and midrib; style arms light baby ribbon pink; falls same, lavender splashes on hafts and shoulders, lavender veins and dots beside beard; beards lavender at end, tangerine pink in middle, deeper tangerine-pink in throat; ruffled; slight sweet fragrance; broken color.

From AIS Bulletin #341 April 2006 Introducing Spun Candy (D. Spoon) TB Variegated flowers, 35" (89 em), 7-9 buds, ML. Sdlg. #98-208B-A. Ruffled falls, wide and very ruffled at the hafts. Light baby-ribbon pink standards, style arms, and falls. Closed standards with lavender at bases and up the midribs, Falls have lavender variegation (broken color) of splashes occurring only in the hafts and shoulders and lavender venation and peppering beside the beards. End of beards lavender, tangerine pink in middle and throat. Best Seedling, 2004 spring C&P show. Slight sweet fragrance. Fertile both ways. (Baboon Bottom X Little John). $40. Winterberry Gardens. |
