From Milliken Gardens catalog, 1949: This iris is a symphony of cream and gold. The standards are very pale cream-yellow with a bright gold edging. The falls are ruffled and frilled and are the same pale yellow as the standards, but have much more gold at the edges and the reticulations are very bright gold giving the flower beautiful highlights. The standards are gracefully arched and ruffled. The fragrance is sweet, but not strong. The branching is very outstanding and offers almost unlimited possibilities in the field of flower arrangement. $15. |

- I would like to report a case of homonymy concerning the Iris Springtime Madonna: in addition to the golden bronze one hybridized by Milliken in 1949 and described on the site, I found a blue Iris Springtime Madonna sold, for example, by starquality.nl (https : //starquality.nl/product/SQV01939). -- DanieleZaccaria - 04 May 2022
