From Fay catalog, 1960: Spring Valley (1959). Net $20.00. No. 56-22- Bluebird Blue X Celestial Blue. A half sister to Galilee; also a half sister to Celestial Snow. Spring Valley is a large light blue self with a white beard, and a white band across the upper one-third of the falls. The flaring falls are much ruffled with very clean wide petals. The standards are ruffled, full petaled and tightly held; 34" tall with a well branched stalk. Completely winter hardy. Mid-season. Has pollen and sets seed. H.M. 1959. |
