From Fleur de Lis Gardens catalog 1956: SPRING MELODY (Miess 1954) M. L. 40 in. (Miess Sdlg. x Ola Kala). We have not as yet bloomed this n·ew Dandelion yellow iris, but it is said to be a beauty with large, flaring flowers having extra broad and heavily ruffled patals. H. M. 1955. 12.00.
From AIS Bulletin #133, April 1954. Introducing SPRING MELODY. Brilliant yellow self of heavy substance. Wide ruffled and fluted petals of flaring form. Does not fade. Medium late. 40" tall. Each $20.00. Syllmar Gardens.
