1952, Muhlestein

'Splashes' (Tell Muhlestein, R. 1952) EC, 34" (86 cm). Early midseason bloom. Plicata ("fancy"). White background heavily splashed violet. (Mark seedling: 'William Mohr' x 'Sacramento') x 'Aldura'. Tell 1952.

From Fleur de Lis Gardens catalog 1956: SPLASHES (Muhl. 1952) E. M. 35 in. (Wm. Mohr x Sacramento) x Aldura. A large, Mohr type flower of violet with allover splashes of white. Almost every flower is patterned differently. Novel and striking. 2.50.
