'Dominion' x
I. trojana .
In 1944, ‘Spirit Magnolia’ was observed in John Wareham’s garden in Cincinnati, OH. Remarks stated that it was an outstanding white flower of large size; its handsome proportions made of heavy velvet-like material, and with rich solid hafts of velvety deep yellow, lightly laciniated. (Gersdorff, 1945, p. 48).
