1969, Tucker

'Southern Charm' (James Tucker, R. 1968). Seedling# 39. TB, 35" (89 cm), Midseason to late bloom. Color Class-R5L, Standards rose, lightly stitched blue around edge; falls rose overlaid yellow, lightly stitched blue around edge. 'Golden Masterpiece' X 'Bright Forecast'. Southern Meadows 1969. High Commendation 1968; Honorable Mention 1972.

From Southern Meadows catalog,1969: SOUTHERN CHARM (J.Tucker '69) ML 36" (Golden Masterpiece) X (Bright Forecast). A reverse bicolor. Closed plum colored stds. Flaring plum brown falls that immediately get a deep golden-tan overlay. Beard is orange. Excellent substance. Well branched. This one is distinctly different. Fertile both ways. #39 HC '68. $25.00
