'Sooner Serenade' (Kenneth Shaver by Hooker Nichols, R, 1983). Seedling# 77-30-2. TB, 40" (102 cm). Late midseason bloom. Standards heavily ruffled red violet; falls ruffled cherry black, bordered red violet; bronze beard; pronounced fragrance. (('Melodrama' x 'Wine And Roses') x ('Silver Peak' x 'Storm Warning')) X (('Edenite' x 'Picora Pink') x ('Majorette' x 'Memphis Lass')). Hillcrest Iris 1984. Exhibition Certificate 1982; Honorable Mention 1987.
