'Song Of Solitude' (Jim Hummel, R. 1987). Seedling# 83-59M. TB, 30" (76 cm). Midseason to late bloom. White (RHS 155D); white beard tipped saffron yellow (7); slight sweet fragrance. Seedling# 81-64P: ('Summer Haze' x 'Beverly Sills') X 'Toasted Almond'. Bumble Bee 1991.

From AIS Bulletin #281 April 1991 Introducing SONG OF SOLITUDE (Hummel) TB M-L 30". Anticipate these beautiful buds tinted Sea Lavender Violet and enjoy the wonderfully formed white flower with a Saffron yellow beard. This flower abounds with substance and garden appeal, carries 7-8 buds consistently, and received an HC in 1986. Toasted Almond X (Summer Haze x Beverly Sills). 35.00. Bumble Bee Gardens.
