SILVER SONG (Tompkins 1963) M.VL. 38 in. (Sky Crystal x DeForests 56-69 :- (Rehobeth x Cloudcap) x Dotted Swiss. Large flowered with very broad, roundly formed petals, this is beautifully fashioned with well domed stands and flaring, horizontal falls. Completely unveined and ultra clean, its coloring of bright opaque blue white or rich milky blue is enhanced by a beard of brilliant electric blue, undertoned citron green and by an overall finish so smoothly done that the flowers appear to be fashioned of thick, silvery tinged, milky blue velvet. Strong, three and four branched stalks carry many buds and show the flowers to good advantage. One to a customer. No. 60-20. $30.00. Fleur De Lis Gardens, Canby, Oregon, Catalog, 1963. |
