From Walter Marx Gardens catalog 1962: SILVER RIM (Marx 1960) Each 2.SO; 3 for 6.00. This striking violet blue iris with its unique silvery border has appealed to practically every visitor to our garden. The sparkling, frosty edge is much. more pronounced than that of its parent, SKY CHIEF. Large flowers of excellent substance borne on stiff 40-inch stems. We recommend this unusual and entrancing new iris most highly. Midseason. Picture page 27.
