From Fairmount Gardens catalog, 1938: SILVANUS (Gage 1936) S. are old gold at the base overflushcd with violet. F. are bronze on the upper part with border of same extending around the edge, the lower part is heavily overcast with iridescent blue. Beard bronze tipped blue.
