'Shadowman' (Monty Byers by Phyllis Dickey, R. 1996). Seedling# F42-1. TB, height 30" (76 cm), midseason bloom. Standards dark blue purple; falls very dark velvety blue purple; beards dark purple, large dark purple horn. Seedling# D191-1: ('Villain' x seedling# B25-4) X 'Titan's Glory'. Misty Hill 1996.

From AIS Bulletin #301 April 1996 Introducing SHADOWMAN (Byers by Dickey '96) (sdlg. F42-1) Tall bearded, 30", M., Space Ager. (0191-1 (Villain x B25-4) x Titan's Glory). The flower has dark blue purple standards and slightly darker velvet purple falls. The beard and fuzzy horns are a deep purple. This is a stunning Space Ager that will stand out in every garden. $35.00. Misty Hill Farms.
