'Serene Summit' (Carl Jorgensen, R. 1996). Seedling# 87-P-8R. TB, 34" (86 cm), Late midseason bloom. Standards and style arms veronica violet (HCC 639/2); falls lighter veronica violet (639/3); beards capsicum red (715), hairs tipped violet; ruffled, laced; pronounced sweet fragrance. Seedling# 85-P-6J: ('Colorado Winter Morning' x seedling# 75-2-2: ('Summit Lady' x 'Flaming Star')) X 'So Rare'. Long 1996.

From AIS Bulletin #301 April 1996 Introducing SERENE SUMMIT (Carl Jorgensen) #87-P-8R TB 34" M-L. Tall and stately, this wide-petalled ruffled light lavender self exudes a serene regal air. The carrot-red beards add a touch of class. Flowers are borne on well-branched stalks, are of excellent substance and give off a pleasant fragrance. Abundant stalks carry 6 or more buds that guarantee a long bloom season. $30.00. Long's Gardens.
