  • Seashell was developed by Loomis in 1931, his first pink iris. He was accused in Chicago show 1933/34 of placing a dye in the soil. It was used for his flower breeding prior to being registered or introduced until later, 1940 or so. -- DaveinPA - 2013-07-29
