'Satin Silk' (Steve Varner, R. 1984). Seedling# V1068. TB, 32" (81 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards deep pink; falls medium pink; deep pink beard. Seedling# V7107, 'Thelma Rudolph' sibling X seedling# V5151: ('Love Is' x seedling# V684). Illini Iris 1986.

From AIS Bulletin #261 April 1986 Introducing SATIN SILK-TB #V1 068 (V71 07-2 sibs of Thelma Rudolph XV5151 = Love Is x red-bearded red) M 32" 4 branches, 8 buds. Very ruffled, wide, pink bitone reverse with deep pink beards. Excellent carrying power. Looks PINK from afar. $30.00. Illini Iris.
