| From Carl Salbach catalog, 1930: SAN RAFAEL (Mohr-Mitchell, (Monsignor X Mesopotamica) X Esplendido. A deep red-purple self with overtones of black on the falls. The very large flowers, 6 inches high, 5 inches wide, have domed standards which do not get floppy, and broad, flaring falls of good substance. The strong, erect stems, 38 inches high, generally carry seven buds. $5.00. |
