From Carl Salbach catalog, 1928: SAN LUIS REY (Mohr-Mitchell) 1928. Imagine an Opera with better shaped flowers nearly twice as large on beautifully branched stems half as tall again, and you have San Luis Rey. The flowers are of beautifully rounded form and rich heavy substance, set off by a golden beard and a yellow center. If it were not almost a trademark with Mr. Mitchell to use Spanish names, he would have called this Grand Opera. $5.00 each.
