From G. G. Whitelegg catalog, 1921: SAMITE (Bliss 1920. A lovely creamy white self of a distinct new type with very broad short falls, which spread horizontally. Flower is of good substance. A medium strong grower, with distinct shining green foliage, and fairly free-flowering. Unbranched flower spikes; height. 2 ft. 3 ins.
