'Royalty Velvet' (Luella Noyd, R. 1956). Seedling# N6-16. TB, 32" (81 cm), Midseason bloom. Color Class-VR1, Wine self, brown beard. ('Valiant Ola' seedling x 'Ruth') x 'Queen Elizabeth'. Noyd 1958. High Commendation 1957; Honorable Mention 1961.

From AIS Bulletin #149, April 1958. Introducing ROYALTY VELVET-M. Medium height. (Butterfly Wings X Cahokia). This light blue self had dark violet-blue veins in the falls. The beard is yellow and there is a small amount of olive-ocre at the haft. Ruffled and flaring. H.C. '57. Net $25.00. Noyd's Iris Garden.
