Awaiting original catalog description |
From G. G. Whitelegg catalog, 1921: ROTORUA. This is an excellent variety of fine Pallida-Neglecta form. which might be described as an improved "Mdlle. Schwartz." The Standards are a pale fresh lavender-blue, and the Falls a similar shade but suffused deeper blue in the centre. and with well defined veins of bluish violet and indigo on the hafts. A delightfully cool, fresh colour. A very tall, strong and rampant grower, well branched and extremely free flowering. |
|
From Bonnewitz catalog, 1927: ROTORUA (Bliss). S. pale lavender-blue; F. similar shade, but suffused deeper blue in the center. A midseason variety, taller than Silver Mist, but both have very much the same garden effect. A tall, vigorous grower and profuse bloomer, which gives a light blue effect when planted in mass. $2.00. |
