References:

From Bonnewitz catalog, 1923: ROSE SALTERNE (Bliss) $6.00. This is a tall plicata of the Pocahontas type. It is yet very scarce in America, but undoubtedly within a year or two it will be quoted at a reasonable price.
From R. Wallace Co. catalog, 1922: ROSE SALTERNE (Bliss). After the type of Mad. Chereau and Ma Mie, but much more profusely flowered than either. Standards and falls snow white, pencilled bright blue, with great depth of colouring at the tops. The falls are lined and reticulated darker at the haft, and more lightly pencilled and tinted lower down. As a decorative flower for table use it possesses great charm. 3ft. 3ins. C II. J0/6 each.
