From Bonnewitz catalog, 1924: ROSALBA (Bliss) $4.00. This variety is deep rose in color, darker than Roseway, but I do not know that it is very much superior to Roseway. The bloom is not as large as I could wish, and yet undoubtedly it is an advance in the particular color in which it is classed. |
Most distinctive with fine branching habit. Standards reddish violet. Falls deeper tone, almost ruby violet, the throat being stained with yellow ochre and sepia. 3'. (Wallace 1924) |
