From Movilla Gardens catalog, 1921: ROMANY. (Bliss 1919.) S. pale dusky yellow; F. bright reddish brown. Very rich colors. On the lines of Iris King but without the margins. Free-flowering and early. 24 inches.
 
From R. Wallace Co. catalog, 1922: ROMANY Bliss, 1919). An early variety. Exceedingly free. Standards of pale dusky yellow, falls bright red, well reticulated, of good shape. General effect is pleasing, and the colour scheme is very rich, especially when seen in the evening light. 2ft. C VIII. 2/6 each.
