'Rockette' (Opal Brown, R. 1971). Seedling# R-13B4. TB, 30" (76 cm), Midseason bloom. Medium wisteria blue self; ruffled standards; fluted falls; pale yellow beard. 'Winter Olympics' X seedling# M-58-1: ('Melissa' x ('Poet's Dream' x 'Beth Corey')). Brown's Sunnyhill Gardens 1971.

From AIS Bulletin #201 April 1971 Introducing ROCKETTE. $15.00. (0. L. Brown '71) TB. Midseason. 30". For some time numerous garden visitors have urged us to introduce this smaller blue sister of Light Fantastic. Heavily ruffled and fluted with iaunty horizontal falls. Medium wisteria blue with light yellow beard, clean and classy. Very good stalk with three branches and terminal. Sdlg. No. 4-13B4. Brown's Sunnyhill Gardens.
