From Indian Spring Farms catalog, 1927: ROBERT W. WALLACE (Perry 1923). A magnificent, dark Iris of Imperator type, almost the same rich coloring as Archeveque, but a decided improvement. S. arched and nicely frilled, velvety hyacinth-violet; F. very deep, rich purple-black; beard conspicuous orange tipped. Strong and vigorous in growth with low and well-branched stems. 36 inches.$5.00 each. |
