1969, Brown

'Rippling Sea' (Rex Brown, R. 1968). Seedling# 64-74-3. TB, 38" (97 cm). Early to late bloom. Lavender-blue self, ruffled, fluted; little lighter around light yellow beard tipped blue-white. 'Silver Wedding' X 'Rippling Waters'. Brown's Iris Gardens 1969.

From AIS Bulletin #193 April 1969 Introducing RIPPLING SEA. #64-74-3. Silver Wedding X Rippling Waters. 38". A very ruffled and frilly flower of lavender-blue with light yellow beard tipped blue-white. Three branches and 10-12 buds. Blooms early to late. $25.00. Brown's Iris Garden.
