'Ride The Wind' (Schreiners, R. 1991). Seedling# W 450-2. TB, 38" (97 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards white (RHS 155D); falls blue (95A), slightly ruffled white edge; beards lemon, tipped white. 'Pledge Allegiance' X seedling# N 39-B: (seedling# H 201-T: ((involving 'Harbor Blue', 'Blue Sapphire', 'Celestial Snow', 'First Violet', 'King's Choice', 'Allegiance') x ('Rococo' x 'Prince Indigo')) x seedling# H 173-B: ('Margarita' seedling x (('Salem' x 'Cahokia' seedling) x (('Broadway Star' x 'Whole Cloth') x 'Blue Mountains')))). Schreiner 1991. Honorable Mentiion 1993, Award of Merit 1996 .

  • TB 'Ride the Wind' bloomed at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, zone 4b, approximately June 2-10, in 2017. It had purple based foliage at least during and after flowering, as well as purple coloring on the spathes. -- HollyJohnson2017 -04-01 - 26 Sep 2017
