From AIS Bulletin #205 April 1972 Introducing RHODA ANN-918-2 (707, involving Marilyn C, Bright Magic and Shoop seedling) x (Shoop 64-5, involving Whole Cloth, One Desire, Hamblen H5-35 andSpanish Affair). This is the apricot seedling Ivy Jones grew so well in her beautiful garden in Wichita. It was named for our lovely new daughter-in-law. Nicely ruffled standards are apricot flushed salmon-pink, domed and closed. The wide flaring falls, fluted around the edges, are warm apricot. The wide beard is bright orange-red. Glowing color, elegant form. The plant is strong; it increases rapidly. 34". HC 1971. $25.00. Bennett Jones. |
