From Bonnewitz catalog, 1927: RHEINTRAUBE (Goos and Koenemann). S. good shade of light violet-blue; F. deep red-purple; orange beard. Midseason. This splendid variety is better than Hiawatha and Azure and is probably the best landscape variety of its particular color for it stands very erect and has a longer blooming season than Azure and similar varieties. We consider it as good quality as B. Y. Morrison, which is giving it high praise, indeed. Height, 33 inches. $1.50. |
