From AIS Bulletin #237 April 1980 Introducing RECEPTIVE MOOD-Sdlg. 7874B: (Sea of Stars X Benson 67-5A). A charmer made up of a glistening blend of interesting hues. The fluted standards have lavender midribs, blending outward to a smoky rose-lavender, overlaid gold. The stylecrests are gold. The wide, ruffled falls are bright yellow, merging into a smoky lavender-tan shade, with a minute edging of a darker shade and crowned with an orange beard. The interesting, well-substanced flowers have excellent form and branching. This iris has that indefinable quality known as personality. Mid, 36". HC 1978. $25.00. Echo Hills Garden. |
