From AIS Bulletin #248 January 1983 Introducing PROVOCATIVE LADY- TB, M, 86 em, Fancy Plicata, #65-4E. $25.00. At one time I considered the name Fourth Sister for this beautiful fancy plicata. It is a sibling of Queen in Calico. The color is beet red on an orange ground. Like its sister, it is ruffled and laced, haVing 1/8" orange trim around the falls. The rich red beards (45A) attractively add to the combination. A very unusual and lovely blending of color. Good branching, 34" tall, 6 to 8 blossoms 6 x 5". Good grower. Gibson Iris Gardens. |
